Program 3 days / 2 nights  / 3 days riding

Day 1 : National Park Loire Anjou - Royal Abbey of Fontevraud - 4h riding

ABer a gourmet con;nental breakfast, you start your first day riding in Anjou. You ride across vineyards and forest of Natural Park Loire-Anjou-Touraine to reach your lunch break site. Lunch on Loire banks followed by your short riding aBernoon through Montsoreau village and its castle made famous by Alexandre Dumas’ musketeers. Back to Mestré around 3:00 PM, you now leave the horse to enjoy the visit of Royal Abbey of Fontevraud. This magnificent monas;c city built in 1101 which history is closely linked to Aliénor d’Aquitaine is one of the most beau;ful site in Loire Valley. Free visit (around 2h) followed by your return in Mestré. Second night and diner in Domaine.

Day 2 : Saumur Countryside - Chateau of Brézé - 4h riding

Back on saddle for your second day in Anjou head to chateau of Brézé. You ride through vineyards and countryside to reach Brézé at the end of the morning. This beau;ful and well preserved monument is listed as UNESCO World Heritage site. You enjoy its Medieval history along with ils large underground galleries network and its rich furniture. Chateau visit (about 1h30) followed by your riding aBernoon toward Mestré. Atypical dinner in a troglodyte restaurant to enjoy typical local « Fouée » (diner non included). Last night in Domaine.

Day 3 : Saumur vineyards - Chateau and city of Saumur - 3h riding

Last day with horses take you on Loire Valley toward South of Saumur. You ride in the heart of famous « Saumur Champigny » vineyards to reach Saumur for lunch break. You enjoy the magnificent view on both city and Loire Valley before lunch and chateau visit (about 1h). Saumur chateau offers you a rich collec;on of equestrian stuff such as bites, saddles and riding accessories from all ages. Last aBernoon with horses to go back in Mestré around 4:00 PM. Last drink with the team and free departure since 5:00 PM.

COMFORT & ACCOMODATION

Duration of the trails - 2 days riding. 1 night.

Riding time - 3 to 4h riding + 1 to 2h hours monument visit per day

Public - Riders must be comfortable at all three gaits in english saddle in outdoors. You must be able to safely and respectfully control your horse while posting trot and rising canter with soft hands.

Horses - Trail horses, Franches Montagnes and Franches Montagne crosses. Educated using natural horsemanship, sure and sturdy, respectful and healthy in mind and spirit. You will never find a reformed racehrose or carriage race horse at Equinature!

Tack - Trail and English saddles, saddle rugs with bags.

Guide - Ken leads on this ride. Loire Valley born and bred, a full-time resident, he knows all the nooks and crannies of this magnificent region by heart and his aim is always to help you discover it in the best conditions possible.

Accommodation & meals

You will stay in georgous hotel de charme La Croix Blanches, located in front of Fontevraud Abbey.

Lunches are taken in local restaurants (2 courses).

Dinners are provided by the restaurant of La Croix Blanche (3 courses). Home made traditionnal cooking.
